Membership Development

As an organization, we have increased our membership from blank to blank. This was accomplished through extensive membership development activities and opportunities.

Typically, the executive board and SIG chairs communicate with members through emails. The secretary of Student PSEA, Amanda Gilbert, sends detailed emails to the entire membership roster and includes the powerpoints from meetings.

The Executive Board and SIG chairs additionally used Google Survey and googledocs as a way for members to sign up for events and record their service hours.

Bulletin Board Re-Design

The executive board and several SIG chairs held office hours on a weekly basis. These office hours were used as an opportunity for members to come visit members of leadership in order to learn more about upcoming events and activities.

In the office are two bulletin boards, Teacher Resources and TED Talks to Watch. The teacher resources board provides valuable tools for all subject areas and grade levels. These tools can easily be applied to field placements and members' future classrooms. The TED talks provide free professional development for members in a multitude of fields.
